Here at Miss Kay, we truly believe that when you have your gown altered exactly as you wish, you will not only look incredible but will feel incredible too!
Your gown will be your best friend on your Wedding Day, and give you the confidence to walk down that aisle.
Obviously at Miss Kay your fittings are very important to us, as it is a time to look at your gown, discuss any worries or issues and to build that all important relationship with your fitter. They are there to make sure you are entirely happy with every aspect of your gown, and it’s vital that they have your full attention.
We have put some tips together to help you get the most out of your fittings, after all it’s arguably the most important item to perfect for the Big Day!
When booking your fittings, do keep in mind you may need more than 2, it’s not always possible to achieve perfection in just two visits.
Arriving for your fittings, make sure you arrive early in Tunbridge Wells, the traffic can be quite tricky and parking is not its best attribute! Make sure you have time to have a coffee etc, so you don’t arrive in a fluster!
Most brides feel wobbly about their gown and their fittings, we are here to make sure all is well, you will be encouraged to talk about your hopes and fears, and we will address any wobbles.
Please do not bring too many people to your fitting, 2 people is probably best, if you bring too many it will make you feel even more nervous, and your hour spent with your Fitter is vital for a great result. A note about little ones, they are always welcome in our shop, but we find that they can be distracting for you, and it is always lovely to have some ‘me’ time.
Don’t forget your shoes, or any other underwear, we do not advise wearing bras with bridal gowns, but if you are keen to do so, please bring one along.
There will be time at the end of your fitting for trying and styling your bridal look, please bring along any other accessories you may already have, we also have a wonderful selection of jewellery, headpieces and of course our bespoke Veils.
I hope that all these tips find you well and they are helpful to you on your bridal journey,
